Connectors and Information

The cable exists in both stranded and solid conductor forms. The stranded form is more flexible and withstands more bending without breaking and is suited for reliable connections with insulation piercing connectors, but makes unreliable connections in insulation-displacement connectors. The solid form is less expensive and makes reliable connections into insulation displacement connectors, but makes unreliable connections in insulation piercing connectors. Taking these things into account, building wiring (for example, the wiring inside the wall that connects a wall socket to a central patch panel) is solid core, while patch cables (for example, the movable cable that plugs into the wall socket on one end and a computer on the other) are stranded. Outer insulation is typically PVC or LSOH.

CHARACTERISTICS of Category 5 Wire
Bending radius
Most Cat 5 cables can be bent at a radius approximately 4 times the diameter of the cable.

Maximum Cable Segment Length
According to the ANSI/TIA/EIA standard for category 5e cable, (TIA/EIA 568-5-A[5]) the maximum length for a cable segment is 100 meters (328 feet). If longer runs are required, the use of active hardware such as a repeater, or a switch, is necessary.[6] [7] The specifications for 10baseT networking specify a 100 metre length between active devices. This allows for 90 metres of fixed cabling, two connectors and two patch leads of 5 metres, one at each end. In practice longer lengths are possible. (See Ethernet over twisted pair which states that 150 m is often considered to be the maximum working length.) Experiments show that a full 305 metre drum of cable is well above the practical limit, but that reliable transmission with 200 m is often possible.

KEYWORD OPTIMIZING FOR WEBSITES or BLOGS

by Superforce Marketing & Advertising

Welcome knowledge-seeker!  If you are like how I was 1 year ago, filled with ambition but lacking some fundamental knowledge about web site optimizing, then this article is one for keeps.  I will teach you how to arm your site to the teet with keywords in this article.

Keywords are used everyday to search for things on the internet.  Whether you are searching a single word or a combination of words (key phrase), we use Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.  We enter our search terms into a search bar and results are returned to us within seconds.

Keywords are vital because the goal is to be one of those sites in the search results. Another goal is to be on the first page (also known as the top of the search results). Being on the first page will mean more traffic to your business, which should result in a lot more money for you.

Try to implement a strategy to make your site or blog keyword-friendly with terms related to the content, services, or products you are providing.  This can be done in several ways and should be standard knowledge that every site or online business owner should know.

This process is what helps your potential clients know that you are what they are looking for.  For example, if  you are selling a product like makeup, or a service like web design, imagine how great it would be if when people type makeup or web design in a search bar, you would be in the top 10 results (first return page).  This is the kind of impact, although difficult but not impossible, that you want to make when setting a goal for your site in relation to keyword development.

TIPS

  • Some site builders allow you to enter your own HTML codes or Scripts, allowing you to insert a meta-tag, which is a portion of  your entire HTML code that indicates to web crawlers what keywords are associated with your site.  This is a great option, as it allows you to hand-pick and specify your own tags and keywords.
  • Another option that much more simpler building programs have is the tag input feature. [*Notice how tags related to this post are posted below this post.*]  This allows you to enter tags easily (keywords, phrases, etc.) and the program automatically records those tags into your site’s main code, or per post if you make a blog.  This option is great for the beginner, who has little or no knowledge of HTML/Script.
  • Using any of the options below, and incorporating analytics data, can help you produce tests on your websites.  For example, in one month (or in one website) you can use certain terms, keywords, or search phrases and collect the data.  In another month (or in another site) you can use other combinations of keywords, and from the collected data, compare information to determine which tags or terms are most successful.

This brings me to ….

PPC

Choosing the right search terms are also very helpful when using pay-per-click(PPC). Certain terms will convert into sales at a much higher rate than others. Which means that you can turn-off the words that aren’t making you money and expand upon those that are.

By applying the techniques and strategies above you can effectively create a strong website or blog and have a search-friendly site.  You can start experimenting by typing key phrases or words that are related to things you enjoy.  Start with one word and work your way up to phrases.  Explore the top results, the top 20, number 50, etc.  Try to understand what make the first returns reach the top of the results page.

One important key to remember is that popular search terms in your industry, field, or niche, are the ones people click on the most.  By familiarizing yourself with these and constantly staying updated, you can always know what keywords will work best for you.

A great investment is AdWords by Google, which allows you to bid on keywords or phrases, then by paying for each click (i.e. 5 cents per click), Google displays your ads all over the Internet, and every time that somebody click that your ad, the person sponsoring the ad gets 5 cents.

Compare your findings and click on the top results of your searches to familiarize yourself with effective patterns in successful sites.  But remember, anything labeled Sponsored Links at the top of the search results are not organic results.

Like a mad scientist, you can can develop your own powerful potions of knowledge of keywords, and be able to defend yourself in the world of marketing your website.

Online, or Internet, Marketing, as it is called, can be a fun adventure with the right map, tools, and ambition.  At first, it starts off as a hobby and something you Stumble Upon.  Then you really start Digging it, and you realize you can start making money by blogging.  Soon, you are losing sleep because you’re so excited about adding widgets and cool stuff to your new blog, and you obsess over all the details.  Next thing you know, 3 months have gone by, and you finally make…YOUR FIRST PENNY!

A lot of people ask me, How do I do this [online marketing] thing?  My answer is always the same- it took me many nights of trial and error, and many many Google searches and research, to get to where I am.  I’ll be damned if you’re going to ask me that question, and ME be able to answer YOU completely before you pass out from a BRAIN FARTS and OLD AGE.  It’s NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN TEACH OR LEARN in one sentence!!   SoooOOOOooOOOooo……….

This is why I created this site- to inform all those who wish for me to help them.  Here is the first post for beginners.  THE SOURCE for this is the very-useful site called COPYBLOGGER.COM, who are one of the “go-to people”, and definitely one of the most visited Bookmarks you should always stay current with.

Here is a piece of their article-

The Four Pillars of Online Marketing Success

Thinking through what this would look like, we found four themes that kept coming up.

So we created an introduction to the newsletter that works through these four themes, systematically introducing you to the most important concepts we think every online marketer must know about. It’s like a course in Internet marketing that prepares you for the more in-depth newsletter content that follows (still all free).

These are the cornerstones of how to build a business with the Copyblogger model, using everything we’ve learned over the years. Ready?

Pillar 1: Relationships

Creating strong relationships with an audience is critical to everything we do here. Rather than constantly hunting down new customers, we’d much rather create a valued environment that benefits our existing readers and customers and keeps pulling them back. We don’t advertise in the traditional sense; instead, our readers do a great job of “spreading the word” for us.

It’s about having consummate respect, always, for your audience and your market.

It’s about focusing almost obsessively on their needs, over and above your own (and getting what you want, almost magically, in the process).

It’s about making a commitment to creating a quality experience for your readers and subscribers.

Pillar 2: Direct response copywriting

We certainly stay abreast of the latest social media trends (and sometimes create them), but underlying everything we do here is solid copywriting techniques.

Starting with a killer headline and moving strategically through the copy to a stirring call to action, traditional copywriting technique works amazingly well in social media.

“Old-fashioned” copywriting advice can make all the difference between a business or blog that limps along and one that truly thrives.

We’ll show you precisely what we mean in the initial issues of the newsletter.

Pillar 3: Content marketing

What’s the backbone of the Copyblogger formula?

Deliver great content.

And keep delivering great content, but in a strategic and focused way.

Every once in awhile, make a great offer that benefits the reader and involves the exchange of cash money.

Of course, we’ll give you some more specifics on how to do that once you’re on board.

Pillar 4: Have something worth selling

Everyone is selling something. It might be a service, a product, a download, an idea, or an opinion.

Whatever you’re selling, it’s got to be worth the price. (And never forget that reader attention is a valuable commodity that’s in strictly limited supply.)

Whether you’re asking for dollars, euros, yen, or valuable time and attention, you’ve got to deliver something that towers above your asking price.

Bringing it all together

Each of these four pillars enhances the others. Together, they’re much stronger than they would be if any of the pillars were missing.

Internet Marketing for Smart People is a free course and continual newsletter that’s delivered via email. Each week you’ll get a new lesson on one of the four pillars.

You’ll get lots of pointers to archived Copyblogger content, but with a new frame that will help you “connect the dots” and start putting this advice to work in your own business, web site, or blog. It’s much like the approach Brian took with Authority Rules, but ongoing and ever-evolving as the Internet marketing space changes (which is fast).

To make it work even better, we’ll also be including “behind the scenes” lessons that show you how we put our own marketing systems and launches together, and the role each piece plays.
